Melville Women's Vets (over 35 years)
Following a VERY successful season for this division of the Club in 2009, (grand final winners for one team, and a finals game for the other), the Melville Hockey Club will again be fielding 2 Vets teams - Vets 2 and Vets 3. The Coaches will be Mark Rayfield and Jan Davis (with Steve McEntee when he is not overseas).
Let not the title "vets" give the wrong impression of how our girls play their hockey. They are skilfull and intelligent on the field and seriously committed to enjoyment off the field. There is a fabulous sense of camaraderie at the Club, and anyone who wants to be part of that - and can play hockey - ought to come along and see what it’s all about.
As a lead up to the beginning of the season, it has been decided to hold a Selection Day which will be Sunday 21st March 2010 at the Hockey Club. Past players, along with newcomers, are encouraged to attend the trials which will begin at 9am. Please contact the Vets coordinator for more details on what you need to bring on the day, or any other info about this division.
