About Senior Women

Melville Hockey Club cater for women’s players of all ages and abilities. We field 9 women’s teams on turf, making us one of the biggest women’s clubs in the Perth Metropolitan region. With our large number of teams, Melville has the ability to cater for players at all levels, from National and International to those wanting to give hockey a go for the first time.

Our teams are split into the following squads:

• Premier Squad – Premier 1 and Premier 2
• Middle Squad – Division 4 (3s), Division 6 (4s) and Division 7 Gold (5s)
• Lower Squad – Division 8 Gold, (6s) Division 9 Black (7s) and Division 9 Gold (8s) and Division 8 Black (9s)

All Melville turf teams have the opportunity to train on turf at least once a week at our home ground Pulse Stadium/Morris Buzacott Reserve.

Grading for our Premier and Middle Squads runs throughout the entire preseason, with more specific grading games towards the end of March. Our Lower Squad teams also run a grading process in March for those new to the club or returning players wishing to trial for a higher team.

• Tuesdays 6 – 7:30pm
• Thursdays 6 – 7pm (May and July) or 8 – 9pm (April, June and August)
